Official court questions should go to the custodian or court channel that can act on the particular case. The statewide North Carolina eCourts Portal is the public route for a Case Summary or Register of Actions, current public hearing information, and public documents where available. The Onslow County Clerk of Superior Court holds the local court file for both District Court and Superior Court matters.

  • A public case summary: use the Portal or the case search route with the case, citation, or party information available.
  • A hearing date or setting: check the court calendar, Portal Search Hearings, and the court office if the setting may have changed.
  • A certified copy: request it from the Onslow County Clerk of Superior Court, the local official record custodian.

A town administrative citation does not become a public court case until a court appeal or other court matter exists, so direct the request to the Town or the court based on the record sought.
